I've just graduated from University with a BA in Japanese. I live in rural England and enjoy playing piano, mountain biking and sitting at my desk being creative. I am not a professional artist, my day job is managing a collection of victorian art and translating for a private art dealer.

I've just created a new account for my comic: Seven Shades Lighter.

Well, I'm back in England now. Back at University.
My subscription is gone and I doubt it's coming back. I feel kind of disillusioned by Deviantart now. This is meant to be an art site and more and more it's becoming a social networking site where people taking a photo of themselves with a tear drawn on their cheek is classed as artistic.
There have been some good additions- critique for instance, and groups too, to a certain extent. Though even that has it's draw backs- unhealthy competitive attitudes born through different social groups creating fanclubs for the same things/ internet bullying through exclusions from said fanclubs is goin
