I think it's all too easy- heck I do it a lot- to just focus on the yaoi filled or inappropriate relationships that might be between these guys and their captains (or each other ^_^). These guys, whether they have a friendship or a relationship with their Captains, must have felt betrayed and feel lonely now that they've been deserted.
This is the first time I've ever drawn Hinamori so forgive any mistakes. I feel bad submitting so early, hehe. I saw the contest and rushed off immediately. SO many ideas. I can submit more if I want, right?!?!
